A Will, Of Sorts
[After the trial, there are two things on Yuri's desk, each containing a wealth of information.
The first is a notebook from the student store. A good chunk of the initial pages are filled with notes on electricity, crops that grow in low-light and underground conditions, lists of modern medicines and their uses...and in the margins, there are methods of how these things can be safely implemented in Abyss. Names of people who might benefit from pain medication, rough sketches on how wires and electric currents could be rigged up, all sorts of things. At heart, even in the midst of his own problems, Yuri can't not think of how to help others.
After those notes, there are brief paragraphs on the fellow "students" of IOU, HuBERT, their mysterious shopkeeper, and...something else. Huh! Looks like he wasn't lying at the trial after all.
And after that, there's a list of items in his possession. If it wasn't on his person at the time of his execution, then the items are up for grabs.
In the back of this book, there are several folded pages, torn out of the notebook, with the name of those he presumes to still be alive on them. Yes, these are Dead Letters. Have fun.
Niles | Luca | Surolam | Jasper | Mayhem | Shiki | Rachel | Barry | Rokurou | Tamaki | Koutarou | HuBERT
Do note that Mayhem's letter is crumpled up and hastily tossed into the waste basket by his desk. It is easily fished out and readable.
The second item is Yuri's personal notebook. There's a ballpoint pen resting inside, and when you open the book, you'll see that it's at the end of a long list of names - the names of the dead. You should recognize the most recent:
Colette Brunel
Hiro Shishigami
Ivar
Karone/Astronema
Michael
Zabimaru/Snake
Scott Shelby
Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman
Yuri Leclerc
The next name is written with much sloppier, rushed handwriting:
General Sweet Mayhem
Yuri Leclerc
There's still plenty of room for someone to come and write down the other culprit's name, but...what's that near the bottom of the page?
Aleksi Spurling
...Who the fuck is that last one?]

Niles
First: my stuff is up for grabs for everybody, but you, Luca, and Surolam get first pick. If you find my Hero's Relic, keep it safe. Don't let anyone put it on. If there's no Crest Stone - and you'll notice if it's missing - keep an eye out for a sphere with this symbol on it. That's the Crest Stone, and it's just as dangerous if handled without care.
Second: Stay alive. Get as many people out of here as possible.
Third: If you actually decided to read this and get so far, then I have a selfish request. Bring both of these notebooks back to Fodlan. The purple one you'll want to hand over to one of the Ashen Wolves in Abyss - Constance is your best bet for someone clever enough to make use of the information, but handing it to Balthus or Hapi is fine, if you can't find her. Tell them this is from me, and that I'm sorry.
The leather one, bring to [a small town's name is scrawled here] in the Kingdom. Ask for [a woman's name is written here]. That's my mother. You'll know it's her. I got a majority of my looks from her. Give that journal to her, and tell her...that her little sparrow is sorry.
- Yuri
I suppose I should tell you, out of everyone, why I ended up in Abyss, before I'm gone for good.
I killed members of the Knights of Seiros in protest of orders to slaughter members of my old gang from my hometown.
Already had plenty of blood on my hands before I came here. Guess this is what I deserve.
Luca
What I said about establishing yourself, with your name - I meant it. Even if you recall everything about your past, let it fall away. Don't let it matter here. Make Luca Balsa someone you're proud to be.
You, Surolam, and Niles get first dibs on my stuff, if you want it.
- Yuri
Surolam
Keep Luca safe, if you can. I don't want either of you following me in death.
You, Luca, and Niles get first dibs on my stuff, if you want it - but I won't blame you if you don't.
- Yuri
Shit. I kept forgetting to bring Rikmah to the bird area. Would you...look after her? She had no part in this.
Jasper
- Yuri
[CONSIDERING WHAT HAPPENED....Niles should absolutely fucking burn this.]
Mayhem
Don't let anyone give you grief for that pretty face. If they don't take you seriously, then that's their mistake.

It was a diversion, I think. Them asking me to keep tabs on what you did. I only agreed because I thought I could get information about them somehow. Don't take it personal.
Not sure why I bothered to write you a letter. I actually think you're annoying and ridiculous! But you were fun to tease, when I could.
