A Will, Of Sorts
[After the trial, there are two things on Yuri's desk, each containing a wealth of information.
The first is a notebook from the student store. A good chunk of the initial pages are filled with notes on electricity, crops that grow in low-light and underground conditions, lists of modern medicines and their uses...and in the margins, there are methods of how these things can be safely implemented in Abyss. Names of people who might benefit from pain medication, rough sketches on how wires and electric currents could be rigged up, all sorts of things. At heart, even in the midst of his own problems, Yuri can't not think of how to help others.
After those notes, there are brief paragraphs on the fellow "students" of IOU, HuBERT, their mysterious shopkeeper, and...something else. Huh! Looks like he wasn't lying at the trial after all.
And after that, there's a list of items in his possession. If it wasn't on his person at the time of his execution, then the items are up for grabs.
In the back of this book, there are several folded pages, torn out of the notebook, with the name of those he presumes to still be alive on them. Yes, these are Dead Letters. Have fun.
Niles | Luca | Surolam | Jasper | Mayhem | Shiki | Rachel | Barry | Rokurou | Tamaki | Koutarou | HuBERT
Do note that Mayhem's letter is crumpled up and hastily tossed into the waste basket by his desk. It is easily fished out and readable.
The second item is Yuri's personal notebook. There's a ballpoint pen resting inside, and when you open the book, you'll see that it's at the end of a long list of names - the names of the dead. You should recognize the most recent:
Colette Brunel
Hiro Shishigami
Ivar
Karone/Astronema
Michael
Zabimaru/Snake
Scott Shelby
Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman
Yuri Leclerc
The next name is written with much sloppier, rushed handwriting:
General Sweet Mayhem
Yuri Leclerc
There's still plenty of room for someone to come and write down the other culprit's name, but...what's that near the bottom of the page?
Aleksi Spurling
...Who the fuck is that last one?]
